A New Hope has beed slightly edited from its original state.

Gundam Wing doesn't belong to me, just to let you know if you didn't already! Don't sue me cause I'm a poor, cash-less, high school student!
However, Yūki (and all other original characters) as well as the storyline belong to ME. Don't steal them!

Yūki went on and performed many tasks like this several times. Her fourth mission, as told by Dr J, would be at Fort Itigi. Her task: to eliminate the deadly Taurus suits that the fort specialized in.

Yūki chose to go in the evening again, as all of her attacks were staged at night. She brought time bombs, motion sensor bombs, and her rifle. She wore the wetsuit again.

She arrived at the fort, a metal wonder. The walls were sturdy and high, the ground was soft, and the guard towers many. There was only one way to get in unnoticed. Yūki pulled out her rifle and began to dig by the wall with the butt. She used her hands as well, and really put her body into it. Eventually, she did make it inside.

"Wow, this place is unimaginable. Ill have to find those Taurus right away." She dashed out into the clearing. In the far end of the base, fighting could be heard. Someone else must have been assigned to battle there too. In the field lay, row after row, of inactivated Taurus suits. Yūki ran down the rows tossing motion sensor bombs on them that had extreme power almost of dynamite. When she was done, she went to the other end of the fort.

Yūki was usually unnoticed during her attacks. She was skilled and stealthy. In this particular mission, nothing was brought to attention because the bombs wouldnt go off by themselves. She would get them to move later

There was a fight, of course, in the far end. What seemed to be seven, no, eight Taurus suits fighting against one other.

Thats strange, theyre fighting a bigger suit. Yūki realized that she had only three motion sensor bombs left with her. "Well, I guess the big guys gonna hafta go. Itll be better."

She winded her arm back and let the bombs fly with great force. "Take this, OZ bastards!" They attached themselves to the suit. The pilot must not have known. It moved- just an inch. The bombs ripped apart, shrapnel destroying most of the other suits. The big one took a fall, but wasnt finished. When it began to get back up, Yūki fled in terror. It had noticed her. The beast saw its prey.

Yūki flew past the field of mobile suits. She noticed the suit wasnt moving. It seemed to be watching her with a stone gaze. She dove into the hole, climbed out the other side, and bolted.

The suit stayed, just watching, as the Taurus suits attacked. The pilot had the heart to leave her aloneHe couldnt go after the girl, the girl who was only as old as heand kinda cute.

School began again on Monday. Yūki, in her preppy uniform, rushed into the front doors. She was late. She ran up the stairs, through the hall, and into the large classroom. Luckily, no one had seen her besides one of Christines friends, who sat by her.

The teacher was giving a lecture. Christine leaned over. "Youre late. Youll catch onto the speaking topic. But why were you late?"

Yūki looked irritably back. I was busy this weekend. Thats none of your business. Somewhat offended, she leaned back into place.

Christine approached her again after school.

"Have you had any word from Heero?" she asked hopefully.

"Christine. Miss Lao, I dont care to speak with you. Ive been very busy lately, and I dont stalk Heero. Yūki had become as hard as Heero without even knowing it. Christine, having had some of the same treatment from him, ignored the insult.

"Really, I need to know. I have to talk with him for Relena."

Yūki pushed by her impatiently. She went to her dormitory. There wasnt anyone who needed to see Odin more than Yūki, and she wasnt going to help anyone until shed seen him first.

The next attack would be at the Zanzibar Floating Base. Yūki was sleep deprived from going to and from battles all week. She wanted to rest, but she had an obligation to do as Dr J ordered.

Yūki, loaded with guns and the last of her bombs, secretly hitched a ride on a small ship headed to the base. She could swim, but going that far was crazy.

Arriving there, she saw fighting already occurring. At least that would give her room to plant her explosives. Most of the base had been wiped out; several structures had been destroyed as well as mobile suits. All around lay dead soldiers and broken machinery.

She dashed to a building that was still intact. She tossed a few grenades inside. By now, all of the mobile suits and their pilots were bound to be dead. She had missed the action. While she was examing the grounds the blast went off.

Yūki, who had stupidly been standing too close, was hurled against a broken wall and knocked unconscious. Another blast from the battle shook the base just enough to have her knock her to the side and into the water. The blast had gained the attention of the mobile suits pilot who had arrived before her. The pilot opened his hatch and looked out.

He was a boy of fifteen. His brown hair was in a long braid down to his hips. He wore dark clothes and a curious expression. This was the boy who had spared Yūki a few days before.

He leaped off the platform and dove into the water after her. The water bubbled and rippled. Finally, he emerged with Yūki. He slid her onto the platform and pulled himself up. She began to open her eyes.

"Hey, you OK?"

She jumped to her feet and tried to run. Hearing the click of a gun, she stopped and reluctantly raised her arms.

"I wouldnt be leaving so soon if I were you."

Yūki stopped, turned around, and put her hands on the back of her head. "What do you want?"

The boy put his gun down to show he wouldnt shoot. Yūki lowered her arms.

"Nothing. I saw you fall into the water. Its OK, Im from the Colonies."

Yūki quickly pulled out her rifle and pretended to fire, speaking a clear Bam."

The boy looked confused. "What on earth was that for?"

She put the gun back. Youre foolish. Thats what wouldve happened if I hadnt been from the Colonies myself. Im Yūki, the Soldier of Anarchy.

He nodded, not really understanding, but he felt better. "Im Duo Maxwell. Im a Gundam pilot, and they call me Shinigami. I think you attacked my Gundam last time"

Yūki smiled a bit. Im a pilot too.

"I dont see your Gundam."

She rolled her eyes. "I dont have one at the time."

"Why?"

"Thats all you need to know."

"Oh great, the silent treatment. Just like that guy. Fine, dont be glad I saved your life. Geez, am I the only sane pilot?" He seemed to be talking to himself.

"What guy?"

"Some other pilot just like you came through here. You happen to know him?"

"Just like me. Hmm. Well, this isnt really what Im like, but Im on a mission. Whos the pilot?"

"His name was Heeroer, I think."

Her eyes lit up. "Heero? Really?"

"Uh, yeah. Thats him."

"Its good to meet you, Duo" Yūki suddenly felt drowsy. She noticed her arm severely bleeding. She hadnt fully recovered from passing out the time beforeand another nap sounded nice

When she awoke, she was in some old repair shop. She could hear the noises of machines outside her room. She was lying in a clean, nice bed. She sat up. "What?!"

Duo walked over; she hadnt seen him there, leaning in the shadows.

I need to go! Im late t school! I cant let them catch onto me! Yūki felt the stab of pain in her arm and grasped it.

"You should rest. Forget school, look at your arm."

She laid back down, then abruptly sat up again to Duos surprise. "Wheres my guns? My bombs?"

"Sheesh. Cool it, theyre right here," he said, gesturing to a chair in the corner. Her ammo laid in it.

She finally put her head back on the pillow. "Im glad we met. Ive been looking for the others"

"Me too. Its good to meet someone on Earth whos grateful. How many pilots are there?"

"Five, including you, excluding me."

He nodded with understanding.
