Explination:
Not really anime-based, this is a sonnet I wrote for a school project. It retells in poetic form (16 lines & iambic pentameter ^_~) the famous Japanese folktale, Tale of the Bamboo Cutter.
Kaguyahime
Once there was a beauty simply gorgeous;She lived in times of feudal harmony.
Every man did want her to wed or just
To be with her before she had to leave.
She lived with parents sweet and kind and true
But she would not be theirs for very long;
Her home was somewhere no one knew,
They thought that she could stay but they were wrong.
One night the townsfolk gathered all around
To defend the beauty that they all loved,
But one by one they all fell to the ground;
Her people came to take her home above.
She was the love that no man ever had,
But she had made her parents very glad.
